Shoestand (1992-1995)

A collaborative experiment in simultaneous composition, performance, and production, Shoestand recorded numerous folk-inflected songs in various Boston locations throughout the early 90s. "Drivin'," written by members Joel Kyack (vocals, harmonica) and Jeff Quinn (vocals, guitar), represents the first Shoestand experiment conducted in early '92 in an university dorm room. The song also features Shoestand principle Justin Zavislak (bass, vocals, nachos) and was the first track on the debut album Penoso.
